About The Program

This educational program aims to inform young people of the consequences of their actions in common social situations. We believe this knowledge will enhance their ability to make the right decision at the right time, allowing them to take responsibility for their own actions.

The program is interactive and consists of 10 modules for students plus an optional module for parents. Each module addresses common issues confronting youth today, such as binge drinking, sexual assault, violence, use of illegal drugs, car accidents.

‘Welcome To Our World’ DVD

The ‘Welcome to our World’ DVD comprises two discs. The discs include confronting and realistic portrayals of common social situations experienced by youth, addressing issues such as alcohol and drug abuse, sexual assault, underage parties and car accidents. Also included is an introductory presentation by Adair Donaldson plus supporting interactive resources to encourage discussion. The program is divided into modules for ease of teaching.

Training Manual

There is an accompanying training manual to aid in the delivery of the program. The manual includes key learning outcomes, delivery strategy, and supporting information for each module of the program. The supporting information aims to stimulate discussion, elucidate legal issues and provide background material. It includes legal facts, additional scenarios (both real and fictional) and a list of online and other resources.

Training Resources

The training manual contains a supplementary training resource CD. The CD includes the necessary teaching resources for each module, with hypertext links to resources available online, such as items from the print and visual media.
